55K on the odo, Dinan chip and suspension. Would you?
It looks perfectly sorted. Wheels are perfect. Ride height is perfect. To our untrained eyes, looks like it doesn’t need a single thing. On that basis, we’d be tempted, awfully tempted. What a looker.
Taking a quick break from car stuff. We’re probably late to the party, but here’s a film we enjoyed immensely recently.
This is one of the more compelling things we have seen in recent memory. It’s also beautifully scored and filmed. Described as “indie sci-fi” by director Duncan Jones (random trivia: Jones is the son of David Bowie), one certainly doesn’t need to be a fan of science fiction (we aren’t) or independent film to enjoy this. Recommended.
Go for a ride with Best Motoring‘s Gan-san (black loafers, white socks and all) as he navigates touristenfahrten Ring traffic behind the wheel of an S2K prototype.
Very distinctive wheels- has that ’80s look, but also looks oddly timeless at the same time. But on a Mini? With that bulldog stance, we think it works.
Hollywood loves to portray nouveau riche southern California guys in Porsches and Ferraris driving like complete douchebags. And it doesn’t get much douchier than what James Woods’ and Jeff Bridges’ characters are doing here, spawning countless imitators (on and off both big and small screens) in the process, as well as prompting the question, does life imitate art, or does art imitate life?
It does make for some mildly entertaining cinema, though.
