lovely worksmanship but all a bit fancy for me.
my dream 911 would be a good condition original, not a retro/passe re-imagining.
more magnus walker than rob dickinson.

Very true. Even the Magnus Walker cars are a bit much for me. Dream 911 for me is one that is mostly original in appearance, with a nice lived-in look, but with refreshed running gear for a very reliable, tight-driving car.
These cars were in an episode of Fifth Gear, by the way.

Sure, as a driver’s car, I’d be nervous about wear-and-tear, or otherwise mucking up something, in such a gorgeously done car. So beautiful though…

Brilliantly inspiring cars. I may never be able to afford one, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t aim to equal their workmanship in my own builds.
I’m quite a ways off yet, but not short of ambition 🙂

Soon after reading about the Singer 911 in Road & Track, I stumbled across one in the pits at Laguna Seca, during Monterey week. Every detail on the car is just meticulously refined. Just an amazing piece of workmanship. “If you have the means, I highly recommend……….” F. Bueller.
🙂
