You just got passed.. by a Deux Chevaux!
Here’s an entertaining clip of an, ahem, lightly tuned Deux Chevaux outbraking, outcornering, and generally making an embarrassment out of Miatas, E36 M3s, and other regulars that one might encounter at a (British) track day. But that’s okay; we say there’s no shame in getting passed by hands down the coolest car on the track.
Interesting steering wheel grip by the driver (including some things your driving school instructor told you never, ever to do), but he’s fast, lacks power steering, and is driving a freaking Deux Chevaux, so no complaints from us.
Hat tip to Peter!
A great demonstration of the importance of light weight. I’d imagine there were some bruised egos after that.

I’d be SO scared to drive that thing fast.
Did anybody notice the lack of a roll cage?
I always recall this video of how ridiculous the 2CV’s safety standards can be:
And not because many cars would survive that sort of crash, but how it simply disappears as if it never slowed the truck’s speed a bit.

I just can’t stop laughing at that going past the other fast cars. So funny. Great post.

It just looks……………..un-possible! Did anyone else notice what looked like crime scene yellow tape flapping around outside the windshield? If it wasn’t, it should be because getting beaten like that by a 2CV is a crime 🙂

I think what makes it even more special is that the drivetrain is not some monstrous engine combination…the sound of that R series is very pleasing! Stock steering wheel as well…
