Sort of want. Okay, really want, but not for the kind of numbers that they seem to command. They’re cool, no question, but so is an UrS6 Avant for about a third of the price.

A guy in my neighborhood drives a dark green B5 RS4 for his daily driver in LA. Don’t know if I could stomach putting so many miles on that car.

it’s funny..i have SEEN that car in Los Angeles when i was visiting a couple of summers ago even though i live in NYC. The car looked great, however I was not convinced whether it was a ‘genuine’ B5 RS4 or a widebody converted B5 S4. There are a bunch of people who have converted B5 S4s to ‘look’ like RS4s.

I see a red B5 “S4” here in Largo, FL all the time I am all but certain is fake.. for one thing it has modern S4 badges instead of B5-era ones.
Then there’s the guy with an A8 in the Audi Club who put S8 badges on it.. like club members wouldn’t notice?

Oh, but try and find an Ur S6 Avant any more.. there’s a reason I have a sedan. Any sort of Avant with a stick shift is hard to find in Florida any more.
(I am digging all this Audi love..)

To this day I regret selling my Coupe Quattro. That was the grand daddy high performance rally cars. What a car and STILL looks good.

Very jealous! Do you have any photos of this beauty?
Fire up the Quattro!

I do have some photos somewhere in the darkest depths of the attic. Seeing this post has flooded back memories of how much I loved that car. When I find the pictures I will post em up for you. Thanks for the post, sometimes the original can be improved on, but never the excitement and spirit that the car was originally designed from. You have caught my attention and now an avid follower. Keep it up guys. 🙂
