Probably a good story behind that photo… Where they set up there for some event? Did some swingin’ 70’s photographer decide that would make a groovy picture? Were they props left over from a period sci-fi movie or TV show?

Based on the car, the period, and the TV, I would suggest it was a promo from the TV manufacturer. I would even guess further the owner / designer of the Keracolor a Lotus fan. Particularly as this looks like their loading dock on a typical wet English summer day.
The Europa was featured in a number of similar promotions at the time. Including a memorable race between one and a telephone call across Italy. I think the car won – being in the days of manual telephone exchanges…
