Truck spotting

The surprising thing isn’t the inclusion of the first generation Dodge Raider. It’s how it more than holds its own against the other off-road royalty here.

We would rock any of these in a heartbeat.

  1. My mom used to drive a red dodge raider between 1988 and 1991 in Bujumbura Burundi, We imported it from a dealer in Orlando Florida. That shape will forever be ingrained in my head.

At the time Burundi had one traffic light. And by one I mean one solitary traffic signal for all four directions of traffic. Needless to say It hardly worked and was even less adhered to.

  2. Dodge Raider, aka Mitsubishi Pajero…from the time when the two were bed-fellows, I suppose.

@tomd; Bujumbura, eh? From Nairobi myself…always wanted to travel out to Burundi/Rwanda….I’m pretty sure that 4X4 rule out there as well….the scene in Nairobi right now is WRX everything followed at a distant second by EVOs.
