Au naturel
Aspiring photographers, please take note! The best photography is the kind that doesn’t look like it’s been beaten over the head with the post-processing stick. This trend is just as bad as HDR was a few years ago.
These natural-looking photographs are timeless, beautiful, and need nothing. Images by Doug Ogden.

His photographs on his Flickr photostream are fabulous. Good to see someone still using film cameras.
By the way, that orange / black 2002 looks amazing !

Amen to that! The only photoshop work I ever do is to remove license plates.

to be clear, i think photoshop is fine (i use it all the time myself and think it’s invaluable) as long as it’s not overdone. the problem is that people don’t know where to draw the line and end up with these garish results. but this is what’s popular right now— subtlety doesn’t sell.

But Instagram is worth a billion.
I agree with you. I did like some HDR stuff though.

agreed.
what really rankles are the so-called professionals actively encouraging amateurs to process their photos to death.
may their collective batteries explode and memory cards reformat !
