I got to thinking about the cinematic BMWs and remembered I had bought a copy of ‘Ronin’ because I like DeNiro’s work. I’d also just read someone else’s mentioning the flick and where some other observer had caught the original poster who’d tagged the E34 M5 as being a 1985 which is not possible. So I went down and dug out the ‘Ronin’ movie and watched it for the last couple of hours. Really great film, guys! No story line to speak of but the acting was right on! DeNiro stars with the Frenchman, Jean Reno, as his whodunnit partner. The chase scenes were really over the top, which I’d expect anyway from anything that John Frankenheimer does. The several high speed chases and dozens and dozens of tremendous wrecks and pile-ups and running over people, I mean, it was just a lot of fun to watch! If you get a chance to see it, do it! It’s great!
