That 288 GTO shot is one of my favorite images of all time. It was the background on my phone for several years. Still makes me go “oohhhhhhhhhhh” every time.

Just out of curiosity, and maybe I missed it – is there a reason you only link to the hi-res versions of selected pics? So many of these would make great desktop wallpapers…

there is a reason behind the madness, but basically, the infrastructure is not set up to do that easily, while still making everything look nice and neat. for that i’d need to migrate to something like tumblr (which has its own issues).
it’s too bad because i agree with you about hi-res. that said, i don’t mind trying to accommodate one-off requests.

And any guesses on how many teeth the girl in the BMW lost about .2 seconds after that photograph was taken?

I’d love hi-res versions of the red pre-war racer (sorry for not knowing the model) and the girl in the BMW…
They seem to be gotten off Flickr… can’t you just link the image to the flickr image page?
Great stuff though

the images are only stored on flickr; that is not where most of them are originally sourced.
here’s the bmw:
a larger version of the vintage grand prix car doesn’t exist. this is the original source:

What is that Silver Maserati?! The picture at the top of the page is one of the most stunning things i’ve ever seen!

Thanks for the Maserati, it is indeed on of the most stunning cars I’ve ever seen, and I had not seen this one before!
These two Porsches not only are hot cars I would love to own, but their PHOTOS are absolutely gorgeous artistic works in their own right – can you please give me the higher res links?
The yellow turbo is also hot and a nice pic, and I’d also love the Porsche schematic airbrush work in full res too!
Thanks!
