Fine, so we’re hopelessly in love with the E30 M3
And everyone and their mother may be also, but in our minds, we don’t think this car – or our desire for one – will ever get old.

Every M3 since has been bemchmarked against the E30 and nothing has quite hit it right since the original. That says a lot to me.

and i don’t think one ever will, right? cars are only getting bigger, heavier, and (for better or worse) more powerful, so i don’t expect one will ever come close to delivering that raw, immediate, direct feel. with a few exceptions, the same can probably be said about 911s, GTIs, and most other sporty cars in between that have evolved over the years.
