The perfect MX-5
This car doesn’t get much run on our site because, fairly or unfairly, there are ostensibly cooler and more desirable machines to lust after (some of which can periodically appear tantalizingly within reach). The deck appears perennially stacked against this scrappy underdog, with models from blue chip European marques like Porsche, Alfa, and BMW (among others) constantly vying for our attention and, one of these days, our dollars.
But make no mistake- we have a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for these vehicles (and we’re not the only ones). We were discussing amongst ourselves how this example pretty much looks like the perfect example of how we like them (and our cars in general) to be. From the hardtop to increase structural rigidity, to the combo of meaty rubber and unfussy lightweight wheels (Enkei RP-F1s?), to the just-right stance, it looks like it was born to dive deep into every corner with a relish matched by few other cars at this price point.
Edit: more here (hat tip to Justin)

This car belongs to David Wong. And while I know little about the car or it’s owner, I must agree, if I were to own a Miata, it would probably look like this one.
