V12 Jaguar XJS at the 1985 Bathurst 1000.
Via coldtrackdays.blogspot.com comes this gem of a clip. Excellent circuit! This is a two-way public road when not being used for races.

This is how motorsport should be. No wings, squirrelly under braking, heel and toe braking…no paddle shift….I’ve watched this video thousands of times.

The driver/owner of this car passed away just yesterday.
Tom Walkinshaw was a massive figure in world and australian touring cars.
RIP Tommy boy!

That car looks absolutely beautiful – the XJS ages well and it’s a wonder more people don’t get behind the wheel. With prices for them now at rock bottom, might be a good time to consider buying a classic before they become collectible. All other Jag’s have become collectors items and these are just sitting there waiting.
