The past, present, and future of Lotus

Note the curious omission (not our oversight) of the 1980s and ’90s.

Gotta be honest, not really feeling the future Lotus (yet) — what we’re seeing so far generally fails to excite. We’re also afraid this sort of thing – which to us (and to so many others) is the defining characteristic of Lotus – will fall by the wayside:

  1. I have to own a late Europa sometime before I die. No other car on Earth handles like a Lotus and a Europa is one of the best handling Lotus. Decent ones are hard to find.

  2. you’re in luck, last i read the cars in the last frame were a figment of danny bahar’s imagination.
my favourite lotii have been the stripped down road racers.
full fat models like the evora do nothing for me.
they should realise by now that they can’t compete head to head against porsche…

  3. Never seen a Lotus advert before. Neat clip.

That ’80s-’90s omission really is glaring! Where’s my Esprit?!?

And it’s questionable at this point as to whether their “future” (at least, in all its glory as shown in the pic) will even happen…
