Wow, just wow

We’re more E28 than E34 guys here (although we have love for them both, obviously), but rs2racer recently shared an incredible image of an E34 M5, and we just can’t peel our eyes away!

Oh, and if you’ve ever wondered what the difference was between the E28 and E34 M5, this is absolutely great:

My friend Paul Krasusky ( former e28 M5 owner ) haiku’d to me once after driving my e34 M5 spiritedly …your M is like Michael Jordan..poised, fast, but with amazing grace and fluidity….the e28 M5 is like a young Mike Tyson in his prime…raw, in your face, lethally lithe and ready for a backalley brawl anytime…ears are optional.

  1. This is timely for me because I just purchased a 1990 535i (with the M30) and to my complete shock, I honestly enjoy driving it as much as my 1974 2002. Lovely cars, and a future classic in my mind!

  2. After you own and drive a nice E28 for a while, it becomes the standard by which you compare all other cars.

  4. I talked a girlfriend at the time into buying an e28 M5. 2nd and 3rd gear are so much fun in that car. I later bought an e28 535i. It is a good car, but a bit of a letdown after the M. I still have it, and it is pushing up on 300k miles and still going strong. Sometimes I think about selling it as I haven’t been driving it much for some time now, but I don’t know if I am ready to let it go.

  6. a late ’91 euro spec 3.8L, 6-spd remind me of the daniel craig bond – a bit of a brute in a very good suit.

  7. Looking so good. The silver valences with the black look mean with just a little flair. It helps that it’s going around the Carousel to give it that slammed look. I could rock one with a B38 if it were that low.

    That said, I’m not giving up my E28 to do it.
